Cross-disciplinary (poikkitieteellinen) research, collaboration, and innovation are among the cornerstones of the University of Oulu. That’s why our campuses are filled with brilliant minds who not only master their own field but are also well-versed in the latest trends from other faculties. Now is the time to find these multi-talented individuals who are not confined by the boundaries of their disciplines! It’s time to discover the Poikkitietäjä!

Do you know what kind of inventions are made in the Faculty of Engineering? Or what breakthroughs are being planned in the Faculty of Medicine or Natural Sciences? Whether you're a researcher, a business expert, or a student at the University of Oulu, now is your chance to test your knowledge in the Innovation Centre’s cross-disciplinary quiz. Participate yourself or encourage your friends to win!

Attractive prizes await the winner:

• A Wappu bucket filled with everything needed for a successful celebration.

• The prestigious title of Poikkitietäjä, which you can boast about to your colleagues.

The quiz will be held at 12:00 and 13:00 in the Innovation Centre's Living Room, meaning we will crown two Poikkitietäjä winners. The festivities will last until 14:00. Of course, there will be doughnuts, sima (a traditional drink), coffee, and an exciting competitive atmosphere!
